Hi Doctors! On August 2011 I`ve had brief unprotected sex with a girl. Its my mistake really for not wearing a condom and I`ve been paying for that since then. 2 hours after the intercourse I started to feel something strange in my urethra just at the tip of my penis, it felt like a tingling sensation so immediately I popped an amox. the next day I`ve had a slight fever, that time I din`t have time to visit a doctor coz that day i`m leaving the country for a few months but I managed to buy 3 tabs of levofloxacin in anticipation of an std. I took the first tab that day and the other two the following days. The night after taking the last tab I felt a burning sensation on my penis, then came a slight itching in my urethra as well. then I took a course of antibiotic for another 5 days but the sensation persisted. After reaching port( I work on a ship by the way) I went to a doctor and told him everything,he did a urine test and physical exam and said he did not found anything so I told him "I`m feeling that burning sensation right now" so he ruled out it could be a chlamydia and gave me 2 tabs of azithtromycin to be taken as a single dose. But after a few days burning sensation came back so I did another 10 day course of antibiotic(we are sailing that time) but the relief was temporary. upon reaching the next port I went to another doctor and had a urine culture analysis. The culture showed growth of staphylococcus aureus and gave me another 10 days of medication but before i even finished my medication again came the itching and burning sensation,Since then I have done, another 2 urine culture, syphillis,HIV,Hepa B,whole abdomen ultrasound, KUB ultra sound, and a couple of urinalysis but until now I feel the the burning and itchy sensation. its not as intense as before but I feel it, its there. and worse is now I can feel pain on my penis when I tap it slightly,I can also feel a slight pain in my testicles sometimes I can feel pain in my pubic mound, sometimes on my legs,it travels like a lightning, its very quick so its really hard to tell and it happens every day,Im already very stressed living with it for over two years.
