What is the STD risk from unprotected oral sex with a male from South Africa?

I am a male and I gave and received unprotected oral sex to another male from South Africa while I was in China, there was also genital to genital contact, but no anal sex. I noticed a large pimple on my scrotum which popped with puss and blood several days after the encounter. A while after that I noticed what looked like a hardened, darkened red vein had raised up leading up to the area where the pimple was. It eventually went away. About 5 or 6 weeks after the encounter, I noticed a very faint red speckled rash on my hipbone (only visible with close inspection in good light), and I had a sore throat, a doctor gave me ciprofloxacin for the throat infection, which sent away. Around that same time, the vein on my scrotum seemed to soften and go back to normal color. A week or so later, I got another sore throat.

This doesn't sound like any particular STD I've heard of, but I'm worried anyway, especially since I have heard that the rates of STDs are very high in South Africa, especially syphilis. Should I get tested for anything? What am I at risk for?
