Where did it come from?

I tested positive for gonorrhea and have been treated.  I noticed pain during and bleeding after intercourse and sought medical advice and then later found out that I was positive.  I had only gotten "sick" after having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for about 2 weeks after our summer break.  It was suggested to me that he may have cheated because I had unprotected sex with him for about 6 months and never got as "sick" as I did after those 2 weeks.  The twist is that he took a urine test which came back negative.  He could have lied, but what if he didn't?  What's the likelyhood that his test was inaccurate if he wasn't lying?

False positives aren't likely, especially with symptoms.  What are the chances that he had been treated and didn't tell you?  Did you see his test results?

I don't know your partner, obviously, but if you had gonorrhea before you met him, I'd be surprised if he didn't get it.

It is possible to have false positives. I don't know what percentage but it is possible.
