okay can I get untrouble for not telling them?
depends on how busy they are.
and how long does it take before they normally call you? its been over a week now.
okay i understand that. so if i dont tell them who they cant make me or take can legal actions can then? cause bottom line is i am not going to tell them his name.
the reason the health department tracks chlamydia infections is because it spreads easily, is very common, can cause infertility as well as infection in newborns when the mother is infected. the biggest concern is that because it tends not to cause any obvious symptoms, most folks do not seek out testing/treatment for it so they want to make sure it's done. Typically if you tell them that you already told your partner and they were treated, they offer counseling/education on std prevention for you and don't make a big deal out of it.
yes my partner is receiving treatment.
so i dont need to give them the name?
i wont get introuble for not giving them the name?
The health department will call you and request your partners name. You don't have to give it but they will explain further to you why it is so important to do so.
did your partner also receive treatment?
