confused by Azithromycin

I have got my 4 weeks syphilis test results after the exposure .the TPPA and RPR test are all negative, but I take 12 pills of Azithromycin to cure my NGU during the 4 weeks, and I did not take the pills for 5 days before I take tke test.some one told me that the Azithromycin would cure the syphilis, and it will make the test result inaccurate, should I test syphilis again, and would the Azithromycin make the result inaccurate? thamk you

you don't need further testing.  if you aren't hiv positive, odds are even if you did have syphilis it took care of it.

this was only oral sex too right? odds are you never had syphilis in the first place to worry about.

I said I am not sure how the medication would affect a syphilis test.

Antibiotics are used to treat different infections. I am not sure how they would affect a syphilis test. What I do know is that syphilis generally is not conclusive until the 6 week mark so...it is your choice whether or not you retest.
