does it sound like i have an std?

performed oral on a friend a little over a week ago.  she has no known studs but has not been tested in a while.  anyway... the next morning when i woke up (probably about 5 hours later) i had a mild sore throat. i didn't think anything of it because i have gotten a sore throat after oral before.  i was afraid it could have been from oral herpes/ cold sore at first because about 4-5 days later my lips began to get tingly and swollen. however, after 2-3 days no cold sore appeared. a week to the day following the sex my throat became a different kind of sore.  a bit painful to swallow.  i went to the dr cause i am paranoid. she told me my throat didn't look too bad and i tested negative for strep.  she gave me a prescription to cure me of gonorrhea or chlamydia incase it was one of the two.

my lymph nodes have not been swollen this whole time which is a good sign.  however now i am afraid i see small blisters on the back of my throat?  not sure if this is part of normal throat anatomy or not, but it has me worried. they don't itch or burn.

i am mainly so alarmed because i do feel a sort of lump in my throat with the increased pain.

does it sound like i have oral herpes or an std?  i feel on one hand it is not likely i have oral herpes since the sex was performed on a girl, i would think herpes would appear on my lips where i had direct contact, if anywhere.

any insight would be helpful... please don't sugar coat anything but also if I'm over reacting please let me know :) thanks!

I say tested negative, I mean already been treated for. O

If it were herpes, it would effect only the lips with the first exposure. Your sore throat is most likely just something which is "going around" at this time of year.

Oral sex in general poses hardly any risk of herpes and a small risk for the ones which you've already tested negative for.
