genital rash/bumps

The past 2 days, i have been lazy and did not shower. I have also been having unprotected sex and masturbating while not clean. Yesterday I woke up and noticed a rash on my scrotum. It was more on the right side than the left, with the middle being unaffected. There also seems to be some discoloration of the nerve that is on the penis, and the middle of the scrotum. A small patch of skin at the base also seems to look bruised. I had also noticed 6 tiny zit looking things on the head of my penis. I immediately showered, and continued to monitor the rash. Over the past day its gone away a little bit and seems less irritated. The "zits" on the head of my penis are flesh colored and don't seem to be pussing. They are also very tiny and not very noticeable unless you really look. Is this just a fungal infection, or is my fear of having herpes becoming more of a reality than I think?

it could be herpes. but it can be many things other than herpes or other STDs. the only way to tell it seeing a doctor where he can run tests.

dont be alarmed at these stats but herpes 1 which is usally oral herpes it is estimated that over 90% of the population has this. herpes 2 which is genital herpes it is estimated of upwards of 55 million people in america has this.

They also seem to look like tiny craters when looking at them from directly above. I plan on seeing a physician ASAP but was hoping for some kind of idea of what it might be.

I agree on the stupidity, but not they are not on the rim, they are towards the tip.

The zits or bumps that you see, are they around the rim of your penis?  If they are those are little harmless tiny cysts that almost all males have. 2terrified is right, unprotected sex carries a risk. Those bumps do not sound like herpes but it doesn't mean you didn't get herpes or any other std. I would stop being stupid and use condoms.

I understand that showering doesn't affect transmission, but I thought maybe it would have to do with some type of bacterial infection or something of that nature. Anyway, as an update, the rash still seems to be going away more and more each day. The bumps on my penis are taking more time to go away. Thanks for your help though

Unprotected sex is a risk no matter how you look at it.  It does not sound like herpes but that does not mean you did not get herpes or any other std.  Sometimes people get stds and do not get symptoms.  The reality is you put yourself at risk just by having unprotected sex, so either way, it would be a great idea to get a full std panel so you know your std status. Then make sure you use condoms at all times.  By the way...whether you shower or not makes no difference in the transmission of stds.  It is the act itself.
