Actually, herpes doesn't bleed. I would suspect hemmorhoids before I would herpes.
You should just get it checked.

You definately have the right to be concerned. I would say that this is unlikely to be a gonorrhea infection. However, gonorrhea can be colonized in the pharynx (back of the throat) of people involved in certain sexual behaviors.
Your history is more consistant with a herpes infection. If your partner had oral herpes than anything that he touched with his mouth including your anus, your mouth if you kissed, even your genitals could be infected. The first exposure to herpes usually results in clusters of painful, itchy vesicles that typically appear 4-7 days after exposure. It could also involve discharge from your anus, fever, malaise, and enlarged lymph nodes. Even if these do go away, they are very likely to reoccur. Go to the doctor and get them looked at as soon as you can. Herpes can very easily be transmitted between partners. Please, PLEASE do whatever it takes to NOT pass this on to your wife.
