It can help cure some bacterial infections, but not all.  BV is best cured with metrodonizale or clindamycin.

i just finished the zithromax for a sore throat...the odor has definatly improved tho, but i had just read that it helps cure bacterial infections

Discharge with a foul odor is most likely bacterial vaginosis.

The zithromax probably won't cure bv.  Have you actually been tested for anything?  What are you taking the zithromax for?

well i have had a discharge with a foul odor. i have taken monistat for it, and i am on zithromax right now, and i still have it.  over the summer, i did have a small bump on my labia, but it went away on its own in a couple of weeks. i have never had vaginal sex. i have had oral performed on me once, but that was about 3-4 years ago, and ive never had any problems up until now.

Absolutely.

Only about 20-40% of those who have hsv1 will ever get a cold sore, and those who have genital herpes type 1 usually have very mild, infrequent outbreaks, and usually write those off as yeast, etc.

If you tell me why you are asking, I might be able to offer specific advice for YOUR situation.

The same as if a female was - the gender doesn't matter for hsv1.

HSV1 is fairly infectious, and genital hsv1 infections now account for 30-50% of all new genital herpes infections.
