Where my STD test results wrong..

Hello,

In early March of this year, I was having vaginal itching, burning, soreness/tenderness on the opening, and a discharge. Ive always had yeast infections, maybe 3/4 a year, with my last STD test being in Sept 2012 with negative results, so I assumed I was having another yeast infection. But I noticed something a lot different this time than any before. My discharge was A LOT more, and thicker/clumpier, and it was also a green color and seemed to just "drip" out. So I went to the doctor on a Friday, and she said that it didn't sound like a yeast infection, that it sounded more like chlamydia or gonorrhea but didn't test for it because I couldn't afford it at the time. She advised me and my partner, who said he had been tested two months prior with negative results and no new partners other than myself, to get tested for those. So she proceeded to prescribe me a medication that's used to treat chlamydia or gonorrhea but not both, I cant remember the name of the medication. I could not afford their testing costs or the medication right away. So I couldn't pick up the medication from the pharmacy until that following Sunday, 2 days later. After that, the very next day, Monday, I went to the health clinic and got tested for everything. I got tested for HIV, herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis. I had been on the medication she prescribed for one day before having these test done and my results for all tests came back negative and I never had any more symptoms like that. And at the time, my boyfriend didn't go get tested with me because we assumed that if I didn't have it, he wouldn't either. But neither of us have had any problems since, until about a week ago. I was having slight burning when I urinated and a little fever. So I went to the doctor and she said it was a bladder infection and gave me antibiotics. Well about 3/4 days into it, I started to have vaginal itching, sore/tenderness, and a small amount of white discharge. Im use to getting yeast infections due to antibiotics. So I went back immediately and she said it was a yeast infection, now the very next day after taking my "one dose" fluconazole for the yeast, I woke up to a clumpy/thick discharge that had a greenish tent like the time before and still have the soreness and itching. Now because of that Im concerned that its an STD and not a yeast infection. My question is, could my previous gonorrhea and chlamydia test results of been wrong being that I was on the antibiotic for a day prior to testing? My partner claims he has not been with any other person other than myself since us being together and me being testing, and know without a doubt, nor have I. Can you please shed some light on this for me?

odds are they also tested for trich when it was tested.

give this a week and if you still have discharge, return to be tested again.

do you know when they did your vaginal swab at the health department, did they send it to the lab or just look at it under a microscope?

do you recall which antibiotic your provider gave you?

Hi and welcome. Did they test you for trichomoniasis as these can have a greenish color.
