Thank you.. I asked her the stage but she didn't answer. . I think I will wait for the confirmatory result before the further consultation so that if ever I really have syphilis. .I could get the right treatment.

Thank you so much

Were the "sores" believed to be due to your syphilis? Your doc should be able to tell you the syphilis stage. Why doxycycline?  It usually works, but penicillin shots are the usual treatment.  Ask your doctor, I can't help any further.  Or you might need to see an STD specialist.

Here it was.. I had an overall medical exam as requirements for my employment abroad after that the clinic called me that the is reactive and they asked me to go back to talk to the doctor. .
I went there and the doctor said that I have syphilis she discussed where it came from and she gave me doxy to ne taken for 10days before the confirmatory. . Whats that mean?

I had experienced bumps or sores in my genital only and its coming and going...I thought its just cause by feminine wash

I started having that coming and going sores lastyear..

Im really confused coz I have read the symptoms of syphilis bybstages..seems like I only have one and keep coming back

Thank you for the response

It usually takes several months for the RPR to become negative after syphilis is treated.

Maybe I can comment further if you give some details about your syphilis diagnosis:  symptoms, stage, why doxycycline and not penicillin, and so on.
