is it likely to have chlamydia for over a year without any symptoms, discomfort at all

i was wondering if it is likely to have chlamydia for over a year and a half and never feel any discomfort see any symptoms or anything...and also if so is it likely that the antibiotic z-pak that was prescribed for an absessed tooth would have killed the bacteria of the disease even if it has been there that ammount of time...from what i've read it seem very highly unlikely that any type of infection would be there

You'd need 1gm at once to cure chlamydia.

Its tough to say whether or not you had it, or she had it, but in any case, you both need to be tested.  You might never know who had it first, and as long as you both get treated, it doesn't even matter.

Depending on the strength of the z-pak, it probably would have cured chlamydia.

And it is possible, but not terribly likely, to go a year with no symptoms.
