is it possible for chlamydia to take longer than a week to clear up after being treated?

I need help!! I am a 21 year old female and was recently diagnosed with chlamydia. my dr prescibed me 1g of azithromycin in powder form that you mix with water. I am more than 110% that I took the medicine right. it is now day 6 after being treated and the foul odor , & constant yellow disharge are pretty much at a stop now but I was wondering how long before the symptons are 100%completely gone? with day 7 less than 24 hrs away I still don't feel all the way normal yet...so is it possible that my body just needs more time to 'heal'?

If you aren't feeling better closer to the 2 week mark, call and make a return appointment to go and get examined again and checked to be sure that yeast or bacterial infections aren't an issue.  did you get tested for any other std's too?

Yes, it could take up to 2 weeks for all symptoms to stop, because your body is basically cleaning it's self out right now.
