staph is not remotely a std. it's a bacteria that when on the outside of our bodies on our skin, is completely normal. when it gets inside our bodies in our blood or urine is when it can be a real issue.

since this isn't a std related issue, there are better forums to talk about it on. pretty much though you need to see your doctor today or tomorrow for your current /new symptoms.  chronic antibiotic use to treat staph issues can lead to chronic fungal infections all throughout your body.

Dear byfayemo22,

Firstly staph cannot lead to HIV, these are completely unrelated pathologies. However if you engage in risky sex, then you might get HIV with or without staph infection.

Regarding your staph infection, yes some of the described symptoms can be caused by staphylococcus aureus, in severe cases. As I understand your form of Staph infection is resistant to many known antibiotics (MRSA) if it could not have been treated for such a long time.

The only possibility to treat resistant infections currently is with very strong antibiotics. And only your doctor may determine the correct treatment.
