Unfortunately, there may have been some type of infection because of the excess discharge they saw. But because you are late, I do think this could now be your period.  I hope it is not an std, but I do not want to mislead you.  I too was late for my period and it got triggered.  I found out later that I had chlamydia.  But you were treated for chlamydia, hopefully you have a negative result for both either way.

You need to go to a gynecologist and get proper testing for std or go to a clinic that offers free std screening.  But if you are bleeding continuously, then the pap smear may have triggered your period.  If you have lots of discharge, it sounds like you could have BV (not std related), trichomonas, chlamydia, and/or gonorrhea.  But nothing can be conculded without proper testing.  BUT now that you have taken zithromax, testing for chlamydia/gonorrhea is not recommended until about 4 weeks after you took the medication or you may get a false result.  And if it is chlamydia, the zithromax will cure it.
