long-lasting bump in pubic hair

A little over a year and a half ago i had oral sex with a woman, neither of us had never had intimate contact with a single other person. about 6-8 months ago i had some red specks in my pubic hair above the penis, nothing on it whatsoever, but those went away just like a normal pimple. then 2 or 3 months ago I got this single grayish bump above my penis and a little to the right, about an inch away. It's pretty much been there until now, and I never thought much of it. Ive never been able to squeeze anything out of it, and when I took a needle to it yesterday the top layer of grayish skin basically came off without any pain at all. It looks like it's healing just fine, but the thing that worries me in that today, the day after I used the needle, there's another pimple-ish thing next to it.

One thing i saw was 'hot-tub folliculitus' which would make sense for me because I'm a swimmer, so i'm in a pool about 2 hours a day and a hot tub for about 10 minutes a day. But just to be sure, I'd be grateful if you could tell me anything about what I might have.

Well, yes you can get them from your parents, but it would have been clear that something was going on long before now.  If you were born with herpes or HIV, you'd have been very sick.

You can have an STD that was transmitted from your parents. Herpes and obviously HIV as well as several other STDs can be transmitted from mother to child, and you therefore can technically be a virgin and still have a very serious condition.

I'm not trying to worry you, steven112, but I've have STD symptoms since I was four years old, and I was obviously a virgin at that time.

Best of luck!

If both people are negative, you can't get an std.  Its like a cold - you have to be exposed to it somehow.  It doesn't just appear.

If both people are virgins, and have not even had oral sex, there is no way they can have an std.

Thanks so much, really it's such a relief to hear that :) . But I have one other question now.

They never said anything about this in high school health class, but can you even get an STD from someone who has never had sexual contact with another person and has no trace of any kind of infection?

If neither of you had any other partners ever, this can't be an std.

I would, however, see your doctor since its been there for so long.  Don't try and pop it or anything again - let the doctor see it as is.  If its folliculitis, you might need an antibiotic for it.
