Swollen Lymph Nodes/sore throat

Hello,

I recently had unprotected Oral sex and about 4 days later my lymph nodes became swollen in my neck for about a day and I have what feels like a sore in my throat. I realize these are symptoms, but is 4 days to early for them to show? And whats the risk of transmission through oral sex? Some other factors to consider, I am a smoker, have pretty bad allergies, and drank a lot of alcohol the 5 days prior to the confrontation. I realize the only way to be sure is to get tested which I plan on doing. Looking into some free testing sites where I can go. But any input or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok thanks, I'll probably end up getting tested anyways just to put my mind completely to rest. But I do thank you for your input, appreciate it

Well your only real risk would have been herpes and syphilis and even thoughs are rare...I would not worry about it and chalk it up to a common viral infection.

Gave Oral to a Female, lymph nodes only swollen for a day, and throat is healing as well after bout 5 days. Dunno if its just bad timing? Hard to find free testing with availability and I do not have insurance currently, so working on find a place.

Also, I feel like I have been more fatigued lately, so I also realize that these are all symptoms of Mono as well, which is also a possibility. It seems like these symptoms show up for everything, so kinda tricky?
