Ghonerrea and chlamydia test

Hello, I just had two simple questions , today I went to get tested for both ghonerrea and chlamydia , and while I was urinating in the cup , a drop of water fell into the cup from me washing my penis before urinating, do you think that the one drop of water can render my test results ?

My other question was about syphilis, how long can a person have syphilis and not know about it ? Can someone have syphilis for years without having any symptoms whatsoever ? How long can you go without symptoms ? Is it common in the US ?

A drop of water isn't going to change the test.

As far as the Syphilis is concerned it depends on the test and how long ago you were infected.

For example, an RPR, even though very sensitive  can be negative because it's a very recent (less than 10 - 12 weeks).

RPR can also be negative for a very old infection.

A little water in the cup won't affect the urine tests.

Syphilis can go for years without symptoms; it is quite common. But the blood tests are very accuratre. If you have had a negative test, you can be sure you didn't have it at that time.
