persistent discharge

Is it possible to have gonorrhea and chlamydia but for it to not show up in the Cervical gram stain or Endocervical culture tests?

Also what could be the cause of a persistent copious thick white discharge that smells pungent?could this be a result of having had gonorrhea, meaning to say that the gonorrhea has cleared up but has left the cervix inflamed/infected?

Also, my partner told me he had gonorrhea and we got treated the first time but did not wait long enough so got a reinfection. He had the symptoms. but when i went to get tested the second time for gon and chlamydia all the tests came back as negative. I got treated anyway just to be safe, injection and doxycycline. I still have been having discharge, and it is very white in colour. different from the first time we got gonorrhea, which was a yellowish one.

or could this be a persistent strain of chlamydia?

I also have had tenderness in the lower abdomen.

I also have been diagnosed with HSV II, could this be why i keep getting the discharge or why it takes me longer to get better?

With all the antibiotic treatment, I would not be surprised if you had an issue with yeast going on.  It can take a couple of weeks for symptoms to go away. How long has it been?  Keep following up with your doctor.

forgot to add that I also went to the doctor when I had tenderness and got zithromax to take for 3 days, 2 tablets in the morning 2 tablets at night. symptoms went away because when i had my period (which came 2 weeks early after being 2 weeks late the one before) had the funny smell that i usually got went away. however a few days after period ended I got a thicker white discharge, only it was different. it did get a bit runny (ie it gushed out occasionally everyday) but thickened up. Am wondering if it is bacterial vaginosis.

I have had yeast infections since i was 11(am 21 now) could tha be another possibility?
