Chlamyida, how did i get it?

I have been with my fiance for 2 1/2 years. I got tested last year for STD's and was clean. But just recently I got tested again and was positive for Chlamdyia. My fiance and I have only been with each other since before I got my test last year that was negative. How could we have possibly gotten Chlamydia? We have a couple of roommates, is it possible one of them have Chlamydia and we got it from using the same towel right after them or a bar of soap after them?

Also, I took the one packet of antibiotic for it, my fiance is going to get tested tomorrow and start treatment. Is it safe for us to continue having sex with condoms? Or should we wait until we are tested again to make sure the Chlamyida is gone?
Thanks!

Yep - AJ is totally right.  NO way to get it other than sexual intercourse.

Sorry :(

The good thing is that it's curable after a one time, 4 horse pill dose and a weekish of waiting, so if you're tests come out positive, take the pills, wait a week, and have fun being single again.

The only way to get chlamydia is sex.

If your bf tests negative, I would wonder about the accuracy of your test results, but since you've already taken the meds, you won't know for sure.

He should go ahead and treat anyway, just in case.

And do NOT have sex until you both have been treated, and until 7 days after he's been treated.

If his results are positive, someone had sex with someone else since your last testing.  Sorry hon.
