possible gonorrhea? or other STD?

can someone share with me, what some of the symptoms of gonorrhea are?

i noticed these...lines, or line shapped indents on the head of my penis, and their tender to the touch, but i have no discharge. also, i have only been with one girl and we havnt had sex, but we have had oral a few times. is it possible to have picked up something from her? and if it isn't gonorrhea, could it be something else?

lol ok well fair enough. Your symptoms do not suggest gonorrhoea. You cannot ever get chlamydia from oral sex. You haven't got HIV from this encounter nor have you got syphillis. It certainly doesn't sound like herpes either. The fact that this is constant and painful means you really do need to go to a GP though you can be confident the cause is not sexual and so your head can remain on your shoulders for the time being! Go to your doctor, just tell your Mum you have painful balls or something or make something up that isn''t related but if you tell her it's your balls then you have a good excuse for her to not come in with you. I mean how intrusive can she really be?! I really can't be more specific without seeing it and frankly asking 16 year olds for pictures of their penis over the internet is not something I wish to get into lol! Any more questions post again.

2 months, oral sex only, etc - doesn't sound like an std to me, but you should get this checked.

1. i have noticed it for going on 2 months
2. it has been constant
3. it doesnt really hurt as bad when im erect
4. virgin
5. im straight
6. i live in the US

i have no idea about the state laws here, and my parents would much rather have my head on a stick (so to speak), THEN, take me to get checked out, then if it turns out to be nothing, then jump on me for being sexually active.

Right OK, how long have they been like this? Do they come and go? Have you noticed them being more pronounced after trauma such as masturbation or sex? What is your sexual history? Are you gay or straight? To be honest I'm not familiar with the health care system in the US, in England we have GUM clinics where testing is done in drop in clinics and is completely anonymous for all age groups, however, if you do suspect an STD then your parents, if they have any sense of duty towards you, would rather you went to them and got it sorted than suffered with the very thing they are probably afraid of you getting. I'm sure the vast majority of parents would not give you too hard a time if you went to them with a genuine problem, they would respect that you felt you could go to them. Get back to me and let me know, also if you can fill me in on the way healthcare works in the US a little bit I'd be grateful!

Do you live in the US?

You can get tested and treated in most states without your parents consent.  Call your local Planned Parenthood or std clinic and ask them about the state laws.

I agree that it doesn't sound like gonorrhea, but if its tender and sore, you should get it checked.

well the thing is, im 16, and i live in a very strict household for sex and things alike, so getting tested isnt really a good option to present to my parents. and im just kinda worrying about these...line indents, because the area where they are has been tender, and kinda sore for a while.

Indentations on your penis are not significant unless they are very painful or bleeding it is probably just a little bit of irritation from sex or masturbating (sex is quite a traumatic experience for the poor penis!) Gonorrhoea symptoms include a green, yellow or white purulent (pus containing) and foul smelling discharge. This is almost always accompanied by a really severe pain when urinating. Although in rare cases men can be asymptomatic, the vast majority will experience these symptoms. Chlamydia is more common and this is often asymptomatic. Symptoms if they occur are a clear watery discharge since it is not purulent and pain on urination.

Oral sex never transmits chlamydia ever. Gonorrhoea can be transmitted this way in rare cases. Your risk is extremely low, you don't have anything to worry about. In future you should always use condoms unless you are in a committed relationship and you've both been tested.
