Please look at the picture and tell me what this is.

It started to itch longer than a year ago and about 7  months ago it got the white-ish crust that you see in the picture. It isnt just that spot it extends out to my leg and penis. I tried shaving the hair and I've applied Lice medicine twice thinking its Crabs but no difference. It itches like crazy please tell me what this could be. Thanks

We do not allow pictures to be posted ( or links ) - please read the read before posting post here as to why not.

You need to see your provider. This has been there for over a year now so it needs proper medical evaluation. I would not apply anything to it or do anything until you've been properly diagnosed.

It looks like dry skin or the beginning of a fungal infection. You should try a moisturizer (one without any chemicals / fragrances that could cause further irritation) and/or a jock-itch cream / spray for a few days. If you don't see an improvement, you should consult with your doctor. Is this the only symptom you have? Has this white patch spread anywhere else?
