what do i have?

    Im wondering if anyone can help me or has had a similar situation.  I had a risky encounter w/ a stripper in aug. 07'.  i received quick oral unprotected that lasted 2 min.'s.  About 8 weeks later I went to the Dr. and got RPR VDRL blood test to look for syphilis.  Those results were negative.  A few weeks later I noticed redness/brown skin under the head of my penis.  I went to the dermatologist and showed him the area and had him perform another bllod test to check for syphilis, i beleive it was maybe FTA type blooed test, also negative.  Then in apr. of 08' I showed my primary care physican the redness and had him perform another blood test for syphilis which came back negative again.  I've had what seems to be like some problems w/ my tongue where I feel like theres some erosion/indentation on the side of my tongue.  The redness is still there on my penis and has seemed to grow over the last 15 months, all of it being under the head of my penis on one side.  
    My question is, could i still have syphilis after these 3 neg. tests?  Could it be flawed testing or am I making myself crazy w/ all this?  Could it be another type of STD that I may have?  Thx to everyone for taking their time in reading my info./questions......D

Its not syphilis.  Syphilis doesn't cause erosion, and your tests are bearing that out.

i hope you're right auntie, i just feel like all the sypmtoms i have are so similiar to syphilis symptoms, throat is slightly sore, red w/ veins in it, penis has what looks like erosion under the head, erosion on the side of my tongue, headache, freckle type spots on the head of my penis, blotchy hands.  im gonna go back to the dr. for more tests hopefully next week and just have him run more blood tests on me.  i'll be the happiest guy in the world if these STD tests come back neg.  im just praying that some person in the lab didnt screw up the vials and i really have syphilis.  but i've had 3 tests over the past 15 months and they've all been neg.  so hopefully its something totally minor.  i appreciate your responses here.  take care, D

I didn't say you were wasting our time, but I think you are wasting your own time.  I don't know what is causing your symptoms, but it isn't syphilis, and that's a good thing.

trust me, i want to beleive all these tests but when i have symptoms that are similar to syphilis i have to get concerned.  i am a healthy person, eat well, exercise and want to be 100% healthy.  i just wanted to get all the info. i can about the testing process and if these tests are a foolproof way to detect this disease....i dont mean to waste anyones time i just want to gather as many facts as possible......D

You are making yourself crazy - your tests are negative, and those tests are reliable.

In Sept, Dr. HHH - one of the best in this field internationally - told you that you were fine, and you seemed to believe him.

I have told you this myself, several times.  It really is time to let this go, and as I suggested in June or July, if you can't let it go, its time to seek some help.

Believe your tests. Only thing you can get would be herpes, syhilis, gonorrhea and NGU. And you are not showing symptoms of any of them.
