red rash on scrotum

About 9 months ago I had to go on antibiotics, after that I went surfing and got bad chafing. I took no notice of it but a few days later I had some discomfort and I noticed I had a red rash. I diagnosed myself with jock itch and went and got some tea tree oil. It eventually cleared up the rash on my inner thighs. BUT on scrotum became "hard" like it lost its elastic property, so I applied tea tree oil to that. It burned like hell, but then again when I applied it to the jock it is did as well so I thought its killing the fungi.

I continued applying it for about 5 months on and off, but I never continued applying on a regular basis which was a mistake. It burned for 5 min, went away and every week or so the skin peeled like it did on my thighs. Anyways, after 8 months it still hasn’t gone away.

I googled some more and I believe that I have a yeast infection on my scrotum. I bought some apple cider vinegar, and have been applying that, it burns allot more and cause my scrotum to peel more often. When I apply it, the skin goes hard, and turns white, and on the underside of my scrotum little white circles appear, but only while the vinegar is still burring then it fades away.

And if I have a night out on the town, I drink allot of beer, and in the mornings it seems to have spread, 2 weeks ago I got wasted on beer and had not been Appling anything to the area for about a week, in the morning I had the rash back on my thighs. I applied the vinegar and it cleared up the rash on my thighs but my scrotum is the same as it’s been for 8 months.

I’m rather fit but my diet could be questionable,
Can any1 help?
Thanks

good grief - do you even listen to anything I say?

vinegar is an acid. you shouldn't be applying it frequently.

see a doctor.

You are making a mistake to continue self treatment like this. see your provider, get a proper diagnosis and proper treatment.  You surf, this very well could be something bacterial and you are doing yourself far more harm than good at this point continuing to self treat like this.

conditions arnt worsening, i just cant get rid of it off my scrotum. I never realy treated it consistantly which is the problem, once every 2 days over the last 8 months... the vinigar sems to be working even tho it hurts. i got the rash of my thighs and on the inderside of my scrotum in a day by constantly applying the vinigar. but it seems alot harder to get rid of it from the scrotum.

what else works?.. ill continue using vinigar, mabe diloute it.

At this point it sounds like you've irritated the heck out of your sensitive genital skin!!! no more tea tree oil or vinegar at this point. I love them both myself but 8 months of self treatment with a worsening of symptoms is WAY past the point where enough is enough.

This really sounds like it's fungal and at this point you need to follow up on it with your provider to confirm and get a better treatment that isn't so rough on your sensitive genital skin. it could even be far more than that at this point so it needs proper follow up.
