Pleaseeeee Help!!!!

Hi All,

I am 29 years old pretty healthy normally, I had a drunken encounter with a girl a month back, condom broke, may have had unprotected insertion twice or thrice, & then used a new condom, dint ejaculate & did a hand job with the condom in tact.

Now, Post during last 30-40 days(A Month), My throat is seriously effected, burning sensation, back ear pain, eyes stressed, Serious head aches, stomach ache. I did a baseline hiv test, which was negative. I also went to normal doctor, antibiotics dint work. What should I do now ? Any STD check ? Need Help Badly!!!!

Yes for your peace of mind not because you had significant risk.
Just for your info on the others that were mentioned.

Herpes - usually occur days after exposure and always before 3 weeks.
Testing between 12-16 weeks but docs dont suggest blood tests
without symptopns sores/blisters due to posibly false positives.
Given your brief exposure almost certainly not a worry.

HPV:      No test for men - Warts may occur any time from 2 months - 2
years but again low risk. even condoms dont offer 100% against
              protection against HPV

So in short test for the ones you mention and forget about the others unless you happen to show symptoms.  Herpes would have appeared by now so u can forget about it.

The only way to know 100% is to get tested.  You risk was low and so brief most people would suggest testing isnt warranted.  However that said testing can give you the physological assurances you need.  They will almost certainly all be negative and you can put this behind you.

Gulit, anxiety and associated sleepless nights are most likely causes of symptopms.  Remember STI are not judgemental, they dont infect based on weather your are being unfaithfu or notl, they infect only when present and given the opportunity.  You have no idea that your parter had infections and the infection opporunity was seconds in a low risk exposure.

Get the tests as your in the right time frame and all being well which is very likely you can put this behind you. All the best

And Alan one more point is the girl I mentioned is a Thai Masseur. I contacted her & she said she will take a hiv test(Not sure which). She called after 10 days saying she did some government one in Singapore & is negative( I dont know her to trust). But my symptoms are driving me crazy! Thanks Again!

These symptoms have nothing to do with a STD.
HIV questions please post in the HIV forum.

Thanks Alan for ur reply. It eases my mind slightly.

I have been heavily mentally stressed thinking abt HIV so much in the last month. My normal doctor did mention I have inflammed glands, Lymph node when I google these symptoms, I panic heavily again. My last 40 days has been this roller coaster ride to my mind with no rest, even bad dreams.

Current Symptoms: Severe Throat Irritation/Pain/Straching Feeling from Neck to the Ear, Head Ache, Drowsiness, Stressed Eye, Lower back & Stomach ache... I am generally very sporty & healthy!

I will try to take all tests you mentioned. Please share any more insights. Thanks.

I am trying to convince myself the same that all is good! But the followed indications/ body uneasiness is not letting me :( Googling doesnt help either :(

Firstly this would be considered low risk for any sti  from a single and very brief unprotected exposure.  Hiv is not easily transmitted ,the risk per episode on unprotected vaginal sex is estimated to be 1000 -1

Symptoms can be caused by many things.  The first sign of a brain tumor is a head ache but I dont imagine for 1 minute this has crossed your mind. I imagine you are attributing  these sympoms do an encouter you possibly regret.

At 6 weeeks you can take tests for  clamydia, hiv, gonnoreah and syphilis.
Hiv would be conclusive at 3 months but for such a low exposure and the given accuracy of 90% detection at six weeks, a negative result and your hiv odds would be astronomically in your favor to remain negative.

I would suggest testing for your own peace of mind.
