treatment/severity

Hi

I just got tested for the first time and found out i have chlamydia.  i have no idea how long it's been there.  i took the one dose zithromax... should this be enough?  Should I get any other tests to check on fallopian tubes or other rep. organ damage?  thanks,

I would wait at least a month so you'll get an accurate test.

If you truly had a UTI, then its separate.  Did your gyno test you for chlamydia when you had your exam?  If she did, and it was negative, then you have a new infection.  IF you don't know, you can call and ask.

Hi  AJ

My parter is being treated as well.

I have not had discharge or cramping.  However, I did have a bad UTI a few months back.  I have no idea if this could be related.  Also, I recently had a gyno check-up and she said everything's fine....

Hi Loop -

Were you having any symptoms - discharge, cramping, etc?

If you didn't have cramping, a fever, or pain, then you probably haven't had it long enough to do any real damage to the tubes, etc.

The zith should be enough.

Have you notified your partners?  That would be a good thing to do, since untreated chlamydia can cause a whole bunch of problems.  If you have any current partners, they definitely need to be tested and treated or you could end up with it again.
