uti results came back negative - still burning when urinating and yellow discharge

So i had a urine test because I had UTI symptoms - burning when peeing and a yellow discharge.
These symptoms started about a week ago and since then I have had this done and it came back negative...
Is it possible that I have the symptoms of a UTI but not an actual UTI?
What should I do if so?

The doctor needs to test the yellow discharge if your male to see what it is as a yellow discharge is a symptom of an infection.
