Freaking out about STD

I am freaking out because one week ago I had some sexual contact with a very questionable individual while drinking too much alcohol in nyc. He performed oral on me for a few minutes and also used his fingers. We were kissing and he had his penis out, which I briefly touched, but no actual penetration or genital to genital contact occurred. When I came to my senses, I stopped this make out session. Now I am so freaked out that I could have contracted an STD. I have some bladder pressure and it seems like I kind of have a burny feeling around my vagina, but I'm not sure if I am freaking out from reading about symptoms- they seem worse when I start thinking about it. My right eye has been a little itchy, maybe because I touched my vagina while looking at it and then wiped my eyes while crying? The worst part is I just had a full std panel done two weeks ago and was all clear. I totally screwed up!

1. I know herpes and other stds could be transmitted through oral. What are the chances of me having contracted an std or HIV from this contact?

2. What are the risks of infection for women if he fingered me and hadn't washed hands after he used the bathroom and/or touched his own penis then touched me?

3. I plan to get tested as soon as I can get an appt- two days from now probably- but how long does it take to get the results. If I have something I want to be treated immediately!

Please help, Im so scared!

1. your risk for anything is pretty darn low and would be very uncommon.  sure you could of got something i.e. herpes but thats really the extent of the major risk for you.

2. basically zero

3. see the Dr. but I'd bet you're fine.  Results vary on what tests they do, HIV can often be done with a rapid response test = 10-20 mins, but if they are doing blood work for other tests i.e. syphilis, Herpes, etc... they will likely do the HIV test with that and save you another needle *****.

Don't stree, your mind is a very powerful thing...and your risk is so minimal.

1. From receiving oral sex you can only really get herpes and syphilis. Unless you noticed a cold sore on his lip then I would not worry about herpes and syphilis is rare so it is not a worry.
2. None
3. No need to test, but if you must test for syphilis 6 weeks post exposure and herpes 4 months post exposure.

Thank you both for your posts, which gave me a better night's sleep. To update my status- I am less freaked out and went to the gyn today who stated that she did not see any herpes lesions, that my discharge appeared completely normal to the naked eye and under a microscope, and that my vag appeared very normal and unirritated. I still have some on and off burning/itching near the vaginal opening, but no burning when I pee or major pain. I know herpes is extremely painful- I would call this 'discomfort'. She sent me off with an antifungal/anti itch cream.

However, I have never ever had a cold sore in my life and I believe I began to develop one several days ago. I felt a little bit of burning on my upper lip, freaked and shelled out $18 on Abreva. It either isnt a cold sore or responded very well to the Abreva becaus eit never turned red or painful or developed tiny blisters. Its just a kind of burny (again, not painful) flesh colored lump (small and quite unnoticiable) where the color of my upper lip meets my face. Perhaps a pimple from over analyzing my lip area?

So my major concern is that I contracted herpes and the flare up just didnt come out totally- I am ten days out from the risky exposure. The gyn (and you guys) put my mind at rest of gonnorhea, clamydia, HIV, etc. She didnt seem to be concerned about syphilis or others. She said in two weeks I can go for a HSV antibody test and if I happen to develop any actual lesions, I can go for a swab immediately. What do you guys think about this cold sore thing?! Am I having super anxiety? It seems a MAJOR coincidence to have vaginal irritation and the first cold sore ever after this risky oral experience. Also I had that sciatica like pain in the buttox/down the leg briefly a few times over the last week. Herpes?! I can't bear waiting this out.
