thank you for the information.
In the US, trichomonas is detected the same way yeast is under the microscope. As well as through lab testing. It is a protozoa that has a tell tale movement. Sometimes it may be missed if they are not moving, but if it had been in you that long, it would most likely have been noticed.
I am in a third world country that usually test for the obvious STDs like gonohrea and syphillis etc..i am not sure about trichomonas../i have never even heard about until day before yesterday, before i met my husband i was sexually active, could i have contracted this through them ??from what i read it incubates in some women and might have flared up when i was given rocephine,i get pretty bad yeast infections
Trichomonas is an std. Because std's can cause complications for infants when they get it during childbirth, it is routine to check for std's during pregnancy. So, having it before the kids? Highly doubt it. It would have been detected during at least one of your pregnancies. And it takes different antibiotics to cure or treat different std's.
