You didn't say if you were male or female. Women are susceptible to a whole bunch of things that men are not.

Just throwing out some additional ideas here ...

Have you also considered problems related to clothing, natural fibers like cotton vs. synthetics that don't "breath" as well, in addition to the perfumes and dyes in laundry detergents to which you could have a reaction.

And switching soaps to something milder, especially whatever you are using to shave.

If you are an athlete, perhaps jock itch or some other fungus picked up in a locker room setting?

Also, if you are female, you may get some different responses if you post your question in the women's health forum. Itching in the genital area for someone who is a virgin also makes me think yeast infection though bacterial infections are also possible without intercourse.

Your best bet, of course, would be to get a professional opinion with a doctor's exam.

Best of luck to you in finding the cause.

yes, i do shave my genital area. After loking up the symptoms for scabies and examining my genital area, i could not find any rashed or red sores. Its just that the itching is there but its not severe. Also the itching goes away when i do not move a lot. If you could help on this, i would be greatful.

Thank you for your last reply by the way.

if you are a virgin and also never had anal, it could be a yeast infection, Do you shave in your genital area? also that can cause itching and in grown hairs which irritate the skin around. Always go to your doctor and see what they say of course. But Also could be scabies.. You can check into it and read about it.
