what std could I have

So on Tues 12-28 i had  already had burning when urinating for  a few days and went to a docs office.  He tested my urine for a UTI and it came back negative so he presumptivly treated me for an std with one shot IM and 4 pills.  So after a few days the symptoms got worse, iwent to see him again on Fri. 12-31 and he told me to wait until monday if they were still there to come back.  So after 2 more days of extreme pain I went back to him on SUn.       1-2 and he told me I might have a resistent strain and put me on doxy for 7 days and this time he sent my urine out for testing.  But mind you the burning was the worst pain I ever felt, now after about a day and a half the burning started to lessen.  So they call me into the office on wed 1-5 he told me that I tested negative for CHlamydia and Gonorrhea, and that I was probably treated with the first set of antibiotics and that I was just anxioous that why the symptoms were still there.  Now I know how bad it hurt I wasn't just anxious.  Just wanted to know if anyone knows if I could have had a different STD that the original antibiotics wouldn't cure ( I think azitrimycin and another one that startts with a c somthing like centfixolan or something) but Doxycycline would cure. Thanks for your help.

Herpes is an std that can cause painful urination. Not saying thats what it is but if you dont have an outbreak the only other way to test is a blood test. Many people are unaware they have it. (common sx's- flu like, bumps, tiny blisters, painful urination, ithching sensation).

Yes that is possible. Well NGU is foreign bacteria, so it is looked at differently when a lab does the work up on a smaple. Might ot might not come up when testing for the other 2, depends if the sample is looked at under a microscope first.

Would the first 2 meds not cure NGU but doxycycline does??  also is there a different test to test for NGU or will that come up while testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea??
Thanks for your help

Not really sure what you are looking for. Based on the negative tests either the medication worked or you didn't have a STD. Only other STD would be NGU.
