Thank you for your responses.
The transmission rates for a female who is hsv2+ to a male who isn't is about 4% a year.
That's a 96% chance that you wouldn't get it. If you divide 364 by 4%, you have a really really low chance of getting it from a one time encounter is slim, especially if it was protected.
No need to worry.

I'm definitely not a professional, but I can give you my opinion. Condoms are not 100% effective, but they are good. The probability that you acquired herpes from a one-time exposure, especially if she did not have an active outbreak, is low. If you do not have symptoms within a few weeks, forget about it.
I'm not really sure what to say about your friend's diagnosis. Sores have to be present for a viral culture - did she have internal lesions maybe? Also, it is possible to be in a long-term relationship with somebody who has HSV-2 and not be infected. There are statistics on this (even though I can't remember the exact number) and the transmission rate is fairly low. However, if she is questioning her diagnosis, she should get another opinion.
Good luck,
Em
