Intense tinging, herpes?

Hi there, please help as im going mad with worry,
My partner has genital herpes, he has never had an active outbreak while we have been together in 6 months, but for the past 5 days i have been experiencing an intense tingling around my genitals but more so in my right leg, inner thigh and back of thigh, (feels like sunburn) ive felt a bit rough and weak, and occasional spasms in my lower back, i keep checking to see if there is anything to see but cant see anything, my doc said its too early to do a blood test and to leave it for 8 weeks as if i was last exposed 2 weeks ago it wont show up yet.....how long would i have the tingling until an outbreak started?, i keep thinking i can feel pain in my lymph nodes but they dont seem enlarged, i wake in the morning and feel fine for a while then the tingling soon starts...im so worried and cant seem to stop crying, oh nad i had a shooting pain in my cervix all day yesterday that seems to have subsided.....any help or thoughts would be gratefully appreciated
