Chlamydia

Hi, my girlfriend and I had chlamydia treatments about a year ago and were later confirmed that we were all cured afterwards.  My question relates to infertility.  I am not sure how long we had had it before treatment.  I recalled my girlfriend might sometimes mention that she had abdominal pain and slight pain during intercourse but these are symptoms that even healthy girls would have.  It was never to an extent that she said she needed to see a doctor.  Now that we cleared the virus, I know there is nothing much I can do.  But infertility is really a concern that bothers me.  Could I please ask if the situation is as serious as infertility, should it be the case that guys should feel pain in testicle and girls would fee lower abdominal pain so frequently and to an extent that they would visit a doctor?  In my case, what would you suggest me to do?  I know I am the type that worry too much; but trust me, your reply would be really much welcome.  Thanks.

Hi, definitely no one can be sure.  Also I understand that it is very uncommon.  My last question is just if chlamydia really leads to infertility, the female should (in most cases but not 100% cases) feel some unusual discomfort that is frequent and with the extent of pain drawing their attention to seek medical help.  Is this right?  If so, I would be more relieved as my gf never feels this pain.  Thanks.

I can't say if she is or is not, all I can say is that it is very uncommon for it to happen.

Thanks, Vance2335 and to remar (for her prior reply).  I'd like to just ask one more time (please):
- Chlamydia leading to infertility is uncommon.  How uncommon?  Background is that my gf and I already got it clear (though not sure how long we have had it).
- For chlamydia to lead to infertility, the doctors here in my city told me that the female usually will experience some frequent & unusual lower abdominal pain to an extent that she will go to see a doctor.  The fact that my gf never feels this kind of level of unusual pain should mean that the odd is on her side that things should be fine.  Agree?
- I had a clean STD test.  But afterwards, I once had massage where the tip of my penis was touched but I immediately stopped her (so there iwas no handjob).  I also had one experience of french-kissing another girl for 10-20 seconds but that's all.  This should be no risk.  Agree?

I really want to move on and continue to have close intimate unprotected sex with my girlfriend but I really want to clear the above concerns before I do so.  Would you agree that based on above, there should be no risk if I have unprotected sex with my girl friend?  Also, if I get married with her, there should be no concern on fertility?  Many thanks.

I do my best that this should be my last post for this series of questions.  Thanks for your understanding.
