std's from oral sex??

Hi all,
I made a huge huge huge mistake about 10 nights ago. First time i EVER did this,and last time. I was just so drunk and decided to try it out. I went to a gay sauna and ended up getting a handjob. The other guy then started giving me unprotected oral sex. As it turned out i stoped him after like 1,2 mins and left.

Im sooooo scared to death that i may have caught something from him. I never met him before in my life and havent since. I was sooo stupid and im so scared. Im sick to death with worry.

I wonder did i catch anything. I read on the forums that DR. Edward W Hook, MD said Oral sex is an inefficient way to transmit STDs.  Of the bacterial STDs only gonorrhea and nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) are transmitted through oral sex; etc and that HIV is a 1 in 10,000 chance of contracting. I dont know this guy and never met him before..He could be clean,maybe not.

Now im petrified with anxioty and worry. I tink (or im paranoid) about my symptons. Since I read somewhere about the symptons of HIV. I 'think' im feeling abdominal pains,sore-ish/dry throat. It doesnt hurt when I pee,havent got sick (but feel like it a little bit,but that could be the nerves) and I think I have a couple spots on the back of my neck. I also find myself quite itchy all over with a bit of lower back pain,though ive alwasy had this but it seems different now :(  Maybe its just all from nerves and stress. There are no sores/rashes etc around or on my penis.

As far as I know im clean..I hope I still am !!!!!! :( :( :(

ur overall risk from contracting stds through oral sex is extremely low, especially HIV. also this was a one time encounter making your risk lower. if u need to be tested for peace of mind u can be tested for ghonorrea anytime one week after exposure, syphalis 6 weeks after and herpes 3 months after exposure. But as i said it is highly unlikely u were at risk for catching anything. It sounds lke ur anxiety is causing your symptoms.g

I know it's easier said than done, but you should try to relax. The more you worry and question if you have caught something, the more "false" symptoms you could feel or you could make symptoms occur. Kind of like a man getting "sympathy" pregnancy symptoms because his wife is going through it.

Go to a clinic and get tested. That's the only way to know for sure, but just relax.
