Did she orgasm

Last week my girlfriend and i made love for the first time. It was my first time and was inexperienced but wwent with the flow and gave her oral sex. during this she tensed all over, moaned and gripped the bed sheets tightly while i was going at it then shortly after when i went to insert my finger again she stopped me saying she was too tight. So from going from being able to have 3 fingers, to being too painful for 1, was this due to her having an orgasm? Did she even have one to begin with?

i asked her whilst cuddling an hour or so later and she said it felt good but didn't know if she orgasmed. She said i made her feel better than the other person she had slept with for more information.

It is hard to say whether she had an orgasm or not, but what is more important is that:"She said i made her feel better than the other person she had slept with."
This is really a good starting point and there are big chances that if you continue to explore your sexual reactions together, both of you will be happy to discover new dimensions of sexual pleasure together. Good luck!

Whether she did or not only she can tell, but it seems likely.  It is quite normal for the vagina to tighten during, and following, orgasm.

She would know if she did or didn't, so just ask her!
