Does maturbation cause cancer (i'm 14 yrs old)
Hi i'm 14 years old and i masturbate about 5 times a week (somtimes less).
And i've heard that masturbation can cause cancer at a younger age (20-40). but can decrese the risk of prostate cancer at an older age (50+). Please help, i'm worried. thanks.

I've never heard of research stating that masturbation can increase the risk of cancer. Think about where you heard that, and how reliable that source is.
On the other hand, this isn't the first time I've heard that it can reduce the risk of prostate cancer when you are older (when prostate cancer is much more likely in the first place), so that may be more likely to be true.
No problem with keeping masturbating all your life. But once you are in a sexual relationship, it's best to cut down on masturbating, save your sexual energy for your partner!

Hey, thanks. I found your comment ausing lol (kiddo). thanks. but theres one more thing. I know that masturbation flushes out the liquid that stops sperm from sticking together. and flushes out possibly BAD cells. that could turn cancerous. but i've done some research and some say that masturbation can cause prostate cancer in men ages 20-40. they dont give a reason for it, they just say that they have found that out from research. i dont know weather to masturbate while in my teens, stop when in my 20's. I'M GOING CRAZY! lol. p.s sorry for the long question.
You have nothing to worry about. Masturbation is normal and and healthy, and a good release. You're 14, you're supposed to be experimenting with your body. The urban legends that go along with it were created by adults who thought that masturbation was an immoral activity (I assure you, it's not. Most religious scholars [Christian, Jewish, even Muslim] agree that it's not a bad thing. It was also believed that interracial marriage was immoral - completely wrong!). There are some men that masturbate 2 or more times a day, and never get cancer. It does nothing to increase your risk. Enjoy yourself. That's like asking if sex gives you cancer. It's not the way nature designed it - you are supposed to do that. :-) So have fun, kiddo.
