I am in my mid 30's and have always had a healthy sex drive. I have no difficulty achieving orgasm, with or without a partner. I have never experienced any sort of pain or discomfort during intercourse or during orgasm...until very recently. It would seem the last few times I have achieved climax, whether through masturbation or intercourse, I am experiencing an upward dull shooting pain that seems to generate from the center of my pelvic area to my lower abdominal area (fyi - thus far I've had no pain on either the left or right side). It is not so painful that it interupts my orgasm or even has me wince in pain, but I do feel the discomfort. There is absolutely no pain or discomfort during intercourse with my b/f, but the discomfort does seem to start as I begin to orgasm, and it becomes a little more intense as I reach maximum pleasure. This has now happened every time I have orgasmed in the last week.
Has anyone else had this happen and if so, do you know what the cause might be?
I would also like to share that I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) approx. 1.5 yrs ago and was in a car accident last autumn, which has made the FMS worse and still, a year later, new symptoms arise. I don't know if FMS can cause problems like pain in the pelvic area during orgasm?
If anyone has any information/feedback/suggestions, I would really appreciate them. :)
Thank you all very much.
