Hi. I am a 13 year old girl and i think i masturbate every once in a while. First of all, what is considered masterbating for a female? Also, I came on here looking to see if it was normal and could cause problems. Everything I looked at said it was completely normal and safe, but everything was either under Men's Health or just posted by a male. I was wondering if someone could just reassure me that the same goes for a female.

Hey, I myself used to masturbate. I didn't start as early as you, perhaps around the age of 16 when I became sexually active. Its perfectly normal and safe. Its an alternative to having sex and you make yourself feel good. I wouldn't do too much though because a lot of the times, depending on what you are using to masturbate, the vagina will look as though it's losing shape.
