Husband refuses to seek help.

My husband had an artery blockage nearly a year ago. Jan. 14, 2012. He had 2 stints put in and has recovered very well and is back to normal. With the exception of his penis. It is severely misshapen since this happened. It is curved at a 90 degree angle going upwards. He asked his cardio. doc. when he went back to see him. He said it was nothing he had done in the procedure. I asked him to see a specialist but he he said he was too embarrassed by it. He is afraid this is permanent. It may have been "fixable" but nearly a year has passed.  We have not had sex since this happened. He gets mad because it hurts me and hasn't touched me since.  Is there anyway I could get some information to pass on to him and see if he can be helped? Or is too late?

Is this common after having a blockage? Was this from the stints?

I have asked on other web sites and received no answers from any of those. Please. Some advice or point the way to where he can.

Thank you

Hi Hedy, the best thing you can do is to googel Peyronies , then have a good read all the info you want on this, but how come ths doctor could noy see this, its a simple thing and he should have known that, it wouldnt matter what field hes in, its something he should have just been able see and comment on,
Good Luck

The doctor spent all of one minute and just said it wasn't HIS fault. That was it. Not any advice on who he could see. My husband just gave up immediately.

Holy smoke! I do believe that may be it. All the signs are there. The pictures I found actually made him feel better. He knows he is not alone IF this is what this is. He has agreed to see a doctor!!!! After reading up on it and seeing this is treatable, he is going. Thank you so  much!   I'm hopeful. Thank you!

The doctor he would see about this is a urologist.  Peyronies' is fairly common.  They aren't really sure what causes it.  I doubt the procedure had anything to do with it.  A lot of times it's not painful, and intercourse still works fine.  It seems like one treatment is  vitamin E.  I don't know if that has fallen out of favor or not.
