Inflammed and irritated labia and area around vagina

I never had any genital health issues my whole life, but the I was diagnosed with HSV II about 6 months ago and I feel like I have a new issue every month or so.  I was pretty sure I had a yeast infection last week (yellowish and whitish colored discharge plus the discomfort)  It took the MD's office several days to call in a script and by that time I thought it took care of itself; no more symptoms.  But for the past two days, my labia, clitoris and the area around my genitals is very irritated.  I noticed today the labia on both sides is swollen and the whole area is pretty red.  It is uncomfortable when touched but not painful.  Just really sensitive.  I just finished my period a day or so ago and I use tampons.   Is this something I need to go see my GYNEO about?  I don't have any STD's other than HSV II and I've done enough research on that to know this is most likely not related.  Are there any OTC supplements to help with the overall health of a female's genitals?  Any OTC supplements or creams to help with my current irritation?

I have never thought to try tea tree oil.  Thanks for the suggestion.

I don't have good luck with the topical yeast medications.  Many of them cause irritation for me.  I take oral Diflucan when I get a yeast infection.

I use tea tree oil soap in that area to try to turn things around.  I'm not sure if it would help with irritation like you are having.

You can take Azo-Yeast to help avoid yeast.  You might want to go to a healthfood store and see if there are knowledgeable people there who can help you.
