Pain during intercourse

I have been married for about an year and a half. I experience pain during intercourse. I have been using lubricants for a while now... it helps a bit.... but not much. My partner uses condoms. I do not have any allergy with latex products.I get this intense pain on insertion and he has to remove and insert his penis multiple times as I cannot bear the pain. After about removing and inserting three times after short breaks, the pain reduces considerably. I have also observed that the pain is more if we do it after a long gap(say 2 to 3 weeks). Please advice... is anything serious ?... what do I need to do to reduce the pain ?

I really think it is an infection. Or something else is wrong. But I'm not a doctor. All I know is that I have never heard anyone else talk of this problem before. It definately is not normal. You need to put your health first and go to your appointment. It may be something simple but it may also be something serious. Please go see your doc.

Thanks for replying back. I was thinking may be my hymen is still attached to the ovary walls and has not fully expanded. So can one really have an infection for so long ? I do not get any itch feeling. I don't know about odor. I have been planning to see a Doctor for a while now...but it just so happens that I end up canceling the appointment due to some or the other work. Please advice...you seriously think it is some kind of infection and not really something most girls experience?

I think that you should see a doctor. If you use lubricant then I can't think of any reason why it would hurt that much. Especially if you have been having sex with him for awhile now. Maybe you have some sort of infection. Does it itch down there or is there any foul odors? You will most likely need antibiotics if you have an infection.
