When you had the prostate exam, how were your symptoms? I'm wondering if they caught you on a good day, so your prostate was normal. A lot of your symptoms sound like chronic pelvic pain syndrome, or urethral syndrome. Did they see anything abnormal on the cystoscopy? Get a copy of those results.

Something to also consider is what you are eating and drinking. Caffeine and alcohol can be very irritating, as can some foods. Make sure you are drinking enough water (and really, I don't mean to sound condescending if this sounds blatantly obvious, but some people don't think of the simpler stuff).
Diet can also play a role - https://journals.lww.com/infectdis/fulltext/2002/03000/a_dietary_cure_for_prostatitis_and_the_urethral.2.aspx
I hope this helps. I know it's very frustrating to not have any answers when you are hurting.
Wow - that sounds pretty bad. Sorry, I’m not a Dr. & have no similar experience to share. Sometimes that’s the best thing - to have someone who’s been thru the exact same thing describe what their diagnosis was or what worked for them to alleviate the symptoms. Hey, readers out there - have any of you experienced something similar that you can share with pistonhead?
PH, it sounds like you’ve done all the right things - had medical exams & numerous tests & tried various antibiotics, etc. & it’s gotta be very frustrating not to find any relief from this.
I do have one thought that might not have been addressed: I’m wondering if this could possibly be some type of fungal (rather than bacterial) infection? It’s well known that women are prone to yeast infections, which are usually caused by Candida yeast, but men can get it too. Candida is very difficult to treat & to get rid of. Often this requires some type of antifungal medication taken internally. It’s also helpful to take probiotic supplements - these promote growth of helpful bacteria in the system that can help control overgrowth of Candida yeast. Candida is normally present but kept in check by the ‘good’ bacteria, but often after an illness - especially if one took broad spectrum antibiotics - the good bacteria is killed off & the yeast takes over. This is just something to think about, I have no way of knowing if that’s causing your problem, but since these various antibiotics haven’t helped, it might be worth looking into. Good luck & I hope other readers might share similar experiences to help pin down what might be causing this
could be yeast or some other fungus or virus, but all of the antibiotics you have been taking may have contributed to this problem to make it worse, due to them killing off the beneficial bacteria and changing the PH of the penis and urethra etc.
Yes, let’s hope a few others can share their experiences & possibly some success treating it...
