Rash on my binkini line (left side only)

In october, I had my first pap at my gyno. She ran tests for cancers, stds, the works. On Saturday November 30th, I noticed a slight redness and itch on the left side bikini line. I applied a dab of itch cream and it was fine. The next day, December 1st I started a birth control pill my gyno prescribed to me in october. I had a follow up appointment on monday December 2nd to go over my results. She said everything came back clean and i was healthy. That same day,I later noticed the itch had returned, only the redness was covering a bigger area. I applied more itch cream and wore loose shorts with no underwear to let it dry. Everyday since, the rash has gotten bigger and itchier. Im not applying a vagasil medicated itch wipe twice a day and it has helped the itch but the rash is a dark purple and bright red around. It has been like this for 12 days now. My boyfriend and I have been together for two years with no other sexual partners (at least i know that for a fact on my part) and ilive with him. Ive always used the same soap and laundry detergent so i havent made any changes. I have an apt on friday to go back to my gyno to take a look but want other peoples opinions. Does a rash usually come with an std or am i over reacting?

Good, I'm glad you talked to your Dr about your boyfriend. I'm also glad you're already getting some relief. That's great news!

Yes she asked about my bf. We havent done anything since thanksgiving because of crazy work schedules and i didnt notice signs until nov 30th so sge said he should be fine and if he starts to have symptoms to schedule an appt with his dr.  Ive been applying the cream for 24 hours now and its already healing pretty well. have the itch with decreased redness. My bf is keeping an eye out for any symptoms tho just in case!

I'm so glad you got answers from your Dr. Did he mention anything about your boyfriend being treated too? He should because if he is'nt the two of you can keep passing the infections back and forth to each other. Your boyfriend should see a Dr to be tested. If he does have either of these infections he will get meds too.

Thanks! my gyno said it was a fungal skin infection that had actually spread from a bacterial infection through discharge, etc. and on top of that  i now have a yeast infection too. Now im prescribed three medications (one is a cream for the rash). said i should be all healed in a week. crossing my fingers.

No, this does not sound like an STD. It sounds like a rash. This can happen if you work out alot, wear nylons or nylon panties, things that irritate or cut down on air around that area.
I'm glad to hear you made a Drs appointment. They will be able to tell you what's going on. In the mean time you may want to try some cornstarch. Sounds strange, I know. It really helps with rashes though.
