That will probably be for the best. Not taking them at the same time means that they're not as effective at preventing pregnancy. Missing them completely is almost the same as having no protection. Add to that the different hormones being added sporadically- your body gets confused. Likely your bloating, nausea, and constipation all stems back to the birth control. Good luck.
My problem with not taking them as I should has been because I get up at drastically different times each day (I normally take it 8:30 am). I'm a student and working part time as an EA at a school..so everyday is different.
I may look into switching to the ring this year.
Honestly it could be either from not taking your pills correctly or from pregnancy. Keep in mind that birth control pills are hormones so therefore they can really mess with your body. However, pull out isn't fool proof and some sperm can be in pre-ejaculation fluids. I suggest you wait until your period is due and take a test if it skips. Remember to take the pregnancy test with your first morning urine- more concentrated, more accurate.
I also think you need to talk to your dr. If you cannot take the birth control correctly you might as well not be taking them. There are many different forms of birth control out there and a lot of them are much easier to remember then the pill, but just as effective.
