No, only STD's cause STD's.

You can't get chlamydia from a bacterial infection/cold/flu or yeast infection or any other infection/disease.

what if the person had a different infection can that cause an std?

Whoever slept with someone that had chlamydia. There is no one person more prone to catching an STD than another.
