penis pain

hello i am an 18 yr old white gay circumcized male. over the past 2-3 months i have been having an uncomftorable and inconsistant burning sensation on/in my penis. it bothers me about 90 percent of the time and is the worse/gets worse with any kind of erection and especially masturbation or friction.. i cannot pinpoint an exact location but it is worse on the underside of the middle of the shaft. there are no bumps/blisters/puss/crust/bleeding, but i think i see some shiny lines running vertically along the under shaft when i pull at the skin yet i have had 2 doctors and the nurse at the health department who do not seem to think they are abnormal. i have been slightly sexually active but have always used a condom for insertive sex (about 5 times) with my one regular partner who denies any std problems and has been tested. and i have recieved unprotected oral sex from him as well as one other guy (also short time frottage with the penis and thighs) and girl since december who both deny std problems with tests etc. i have been tested for hiv, syphilis, gonorrea, chlamidia, and had a swab done on my penis for herpes.. all negative. i had a negative urine sample. i tried doxycycline (which i took for a year + earlier so maybe theres some resistance). i tried a year old nystatin anti-fungal ointment for a couple days, not much help. tried neosporin a little. nothing. tried hydrocortisone (cortaid) but it kinda burned so i stoped after a day... maybe i didnt use these products long enough or something... i have just been having this annoying sunburn/heat feeling constantly that gets alot worse after any friction. i have also noticed more pre *** and post *** as far as masturbation but maybe thats normal. and my penis feels alot more sore than it ever has before afterwards for about a day. maybe some slight burning while before and after urination but nothing too bad.. maybe its all in my head but idk. i've been to multiple doctors and plan to see a urologist or dermatoligist if it consists bc its making me very upset. any help would be great. thanks.

I agree with deeneezy. You might be having an allergic reaction to the soap / bodywash you are using, or your skin might be very sensitive in regard to friction. You can try using a moisturizer for a week or so to see if this improves the symptoms. Just make sure the moisturizer doesn't have any harsh chemical or fragrance that can cause further irritation. Eucerin lotion (available on the shelf at any drug store) is a good choice. Also, you should consider using lubrication when masturbating, and definitely make sure your partner is well-lubed for insertive anal sex. Anal sex (even when protected) can cause a lot of friction and irritation to both partners. Your symptoms are not characteristic of any STD, and your test results prove that you do not have one. If your symptoms persist or get worse, you can consult with a dermatologist who can make an accurate diagnosis of any skin condition and prescribe a steroid / anti-inflammatory cream if needed.

Best of luck...

How long did you take the antibiotics for did you finish the course? I notice that you say you tried an antifungal cream for a couple of days.. this is no where near long enough to notice a result, you should really use it for 7 - 10 days before deciding it wasnt effective, so maybe you could try that again? (although if you have no white patches around your penis it may not be unlikely, but wont hurt you to use it)

Try and use lubrication during sex/masturbation to help relieve the friction and prevent it from being more sore.

Also how do you wash your penis? Have you considered it may be the soap or showergel you are using? Maybe you should try not using the soap or shower gel for washing your penis, and maybe try something like a feminine wash (ok its made for women but it wont hurt you! its probably the gentlist thing you could use)

I can imagine that this is very frustrating for you.

If the antifungal cream or stopping using your soap does not help i would definitely get your GP to referr you to a dermatologist.

Good Luck.
