sinusitis-blocked up nose-allergies-dry peeling lip

Hi ,
I have my right side of my nose almost blocked up, all the time ,the other gets blocked up when I lay on that side(left),in addition I have allergy for dust ,autumn,flowers...
what causing it to be blocked up all the time ?
is there any harm expected  from nasal irrigation ?
can this condition of allergies and inflated sinuses cause dry peeling lip ?

I have hashimoto ,still increasing dose every few weeks !
thanks ,

This sounds a lot like what I had.  After a CT of the head they found that I had many, many nasal polyps.  There were so many I couldn't breathe and my nose ran all the time (or was stopped up).  When I laid on my side the water which couldn't escape because the polyps blocked the exit) just stayed in and blocked my breathing.  I had never heard of polyps, but my dentist noticed them on x-ray of my teeth and explained that I needed to have them removed.  The surgeon said that he had to remove more than 16 or 17 polyps from all of my sinuses.  Now I understand that they do grow back after a few years.  The polyps are caused by allergens and are easy to remove with surgery because they are just fleshy protuberances.  They will cause sinus infections and cause you to sound like you have a cold all the time.  My voice changed dramatically after I had surgery to remove the polyps.  I could actually talk normally without breathlessness and stuffiness.  PA

Try nasal irrigation first, and then try allergy medications if irrigation doesn't work. Please see my previous response to someone with similar nasal blockage problems.
