CPAP makes me feel worse

I'm new to CPAP (I've been using the machine for a week now) and it's awful.  The pressure (12 cm of water) doesn't bother me, and the mask (FlexiFit 407) isn't uncomfortable, but I feel much more tired than I did before.  Is a normal part of the adjustment process?

Hi, i feel you will slowly get used to this machine, initially it may be bothersome but wait and watch. You can also appraise your doctor in subsequent visit. See the positive side of its use. Relax!. Take care.

OK, I will see if the weekend helps at all.  The sleep study I had said my apnea was on the borderline between moderate and severe, though my subjective symptoms are not nearly as bad as I've heard other OSA sufferers describe (I suffer from tiredness and fatigue rather than falling asleep, and have not had trouble making it through the first two and a half years of law school).

Hello.

Yes, it is very much normal to feel tired. Not all feel that way, though. You will need to watch for a few more days. And if you do not see any improvement in the tiredness, please contact your doctor. Would you say your sleep apnea is moderate or severe ?

Regards
