Hi,
Yes, you do have sleep specialists and they help a ton in patients with sleep disorders or sleep disturbances.
If stress is the cause according to you, i think you should try a shot at finding the solution to it yourself. Do some breathing exercises and yoga, go for walks or do some light exercises. Watch less of television - and if you do watch something pleasant and soothing; listen to good soft music that you enjoy.
Try to spend some time with family and friends. Take a break if that is possible. Avoid alcohol, smoking , too much coffee.
If your symptoms still persist, schedule an appointment.
Do let us know how you are doing.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
thank you , I've been under a lot of stress lately, I will try the soft music maybe that will help, I realy try to relax before I go to sleep, I read a book but that is not helping. I did not know that you get sleep specialists, I think I must make an appointment anyway..
Hi,
You could be having sleep paralysis or sleep terrors.
How long have you had the symptoms.
Is there a possible cause of stress, or sleep deprivation which could be causing these symptoms?
It would be best to try to sleep well - a warm shower or listening to soft music should help.
You should also try to avoid alcohol, smoking and too much of coffee.
If the symptoms still persist, you should consult a sleep specialist. You would be prescribed some medications after a clinical examination and if the symptoms still persist you would be advised a sleep study.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
